Movie Challenge: Day 22

favorite documentary

1939, Hollywood’s Greatest Year

I couldn't find a trailer for this one. It was a documentary on Turner Classic Movies about the year that was 1939. It was probably the overall best year of film. Think about it, Wizard of Oz and Gone With The Wind came out that year. That would be good enough, but you also add Stagecoach, Mr. Smith Goes To Washington, Of Mice and Men, The Little Princess and many, many more. Sure there are tons of great movies that come out each year now, but can a year in film really compare to all of that?
